Some sterling work during the first three stages of the Giro del Trentino, has put Barloworld-Valsir into a strong position on the team GC.
The South African team currently holds a 1:03 advantage over their closest adversaries, Ceramica Panaria-Navigare, whose Mexican star, Julio Alberto Perez Cuapio, heads up the individual GC.

The powerful BW-Valsir pairing of David George and Tiaan Kannemeyer, who are currently in fifth and sixth places respectively on the GC, just a second apart, have helped their team into first place, and there can be little doubt that a team win will be uppermost in everyone’s mind.

Barloworld-Valsir are in some pretty hot company in Trentino, which is one of the toughest tours in Italy, and Kannemeyer continues to produce the remarkable form which he has maintained since the start of the year. Many SA fans will also welcome the return to form of former SA champion, David George, who is having a great ride amid the mists and craggy peaks of the Dolomite mountains of Northern Italy .
