Robert Hunter will be lining up in the colours of Swiss division 1 team Phonak next year.

That’s according to his SA manager and confident, Tony Harding, who said the former West Rand schoolboy has decided to take up an offer to ride for the team with Tyler Hamilton as their captain.

After two years with Dutch team Rabobank, Hunter has decided to call it a day with them. It’s been two up and down years for Hunter with the team, and a change of scenerey might not be such a bad idea. He also lives on the shores of Lake Como, which is on the Swiss-Italian border and it’s a team that’s quite close to home.

“Robert hasn’t signed yet, but agreement has been reached with Phonak and there’s nothing standing in his way,” said Harding.
