The Proline ladies team is back to full strength after the heavy crashes sustained by Anriette Schoeman and Marissa van der Merwe in the recent Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour.

However, since then Chrissie Viljoen and Altie Pienaar have kept the Proline flag flying triumphantly, finishing first and second at the Cyclone Vasbyt Classic.

Last weekend the versatile Chrissie also finished a strong second in the USN All Africa Duathlon competition, another demonstration of her tough physical condition .

The team now is now focused on the Mr Price Tour Durban where multi-SA champion, Anriette Schoeman was the winner last year. The “pocket rocket” from P.E. has made it very clear that she would like to keep the Mr Price Tour Durban title in the team.

The fast Durban course also favours the team’s other “speed queen”, former world master’s champion, Elsa Karsten, who won the Pick ‘n Pay Amashovashova last year, and don’t forget the emerging talent of Viljoen, who has made no secret of the fact that she would like to take a major tour title of her own.

“The whole team will throw its weight behind the team member who feels the best on the day,” commented Proline’s team leader, Anriette Schoeman.
